Terms of service
Last updated: 9 October 2026
These terms apply when you create a Voyant AI account or install the Voyant AI plugin. By doing so you agree to them.
Who we are
Voyant AI is operated by Voyant Websites Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16946394), whose registered office is 9 Bancroft Way, Wootton, Northampton, NN4 6BF, United Kingdom ("we", "us").
The service
Voyant AI provides an AI chat assistant that learns from your website and answers visitors' questions. The WordPress plugin connects your site to the service using your licence key. The service uses AI, which can make mistakes: you are responsible for checking that what your assistant tells visitors is suitable for your business, and for teaching it corrections where needed.
Your account and licence key
Keep your password and licence key private. A licence covers the number of websites included in your plan. You are responsible for activity under your account. We may suspend a licence that is shared with people outside your business, or used in a way that breaks the "Agencies and developers" section below.
Agencies and developers
Using Voyant AI on client websites. If you build or manage websites for other people, you may connect your clients' websites to your own account, up to the number of websites included in your plan, and include Voyant AI in the services you provide to them. You do not need a separate agreement from us to do this.
Charging your clients. You may charge your clients whatever you choose, in whatever way you choose, including as part of a care or maintenance plan. What you owe us is the price of your plan.
Your responsibilities. You are our customer for every website you connect. You must make sure each client has the right to share their site's content, knows that a chat assistant is in use, and mentions it in their own privacy policy. You are responsible for activity on the websites you connect and for keeping your licence key private. Do not give your key to clients to use on other websites.
When a client leaves. Disconnect their website from your account to free its place for another site. A client who wants to keep their assistant can create their own account and connect the site to it.
Branding. The chat window shows a small "Powered by Voyant AI" line. On a White-label plan it is removed from every website on your account. On any other plan you must leave it in place.
What is not allowed without our written agreement. You may not sell or sub-license your licence key, or offer Voyant AI to others as your own standalone chat product under another name.
Visitors' personal data. For the chat conversations on a website, the website owner decides why and how the data is used, and we process it on behalf of you and your client.
If your plan ends. Websites already connected stay connected and move to the Free plan's allowance of 10 live chats a month. Their assistants stop answering visitors once that allowance is used, until you choose a plan again.
Plans and payment
Every plan includes a monthly allowance of live chats and a number of websites, as shown on our website; the Free plan includes 10 live chats a month. Every plan also includes a sandbox for testing your assistant, which does not use your monthly chats but is subject to a fair daily limit. Prices are per month. We will tell you before changing prices. You can change or cancel your plan at any time from your account page; allowances do not roll over. Plans that include more than one website share one monthly allowance of live chats across all of those websites.
Paid plans are paid monthly by Direct Debit, collected by GoCardless. Your Direct Debit is protected by the Direct Debit Guarantee. If you move to a higher plan we collect the difference in price straight away; the new price then applies from your next payment date. If you cancel, no further payments are taken and your account returns to the Free plan immediately. If a payment fails, we may pause or end your paid plan.
Your content and responsibilities
You keep ownership of your content. You give us permission to process it to provide the service. You must have the right to share the content you connect, must not use the service for anything unlawful or misleading, and must tell your visitors that a chat assistant is in use (for example in your privacy policy). Please do not use the assistant for decisions with legal or medical effect.
Availability and changes
We work to keep the service running but cannot promise it will always be uninterrupted or error free. We may improve, change or retire features, giving reasonable notice of anything significant.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Otherwise, the service is provided as it is, and our total liability to you in any 12 months is limited to the amount you paid us in that period. We are not liable for indirect or lost-profit losses.
Ending the agreement
You can stop at any time by disconnecting your sites and asking us to close your account. We may end or suspend an account that breaks these terms. On closure we delete your content, chats and leads (see the privacy notice).
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
